Why do we need 3C certification?
In order to fulfill China's WTO accession commitments, adapt to the needs of China's market economy development, and establish a technology evaluation mechanism in line with international standards, China has established the China Compulsory Product Certification System (CCC) based on four unified principles. CCC is a complete or partial replacement of the original import and export commodity safety and quality licensing system (CCIB), mandatory safety certification supervision system (Great Wall), network access license system, sales license system, and industrial product production license system.
According to the work responsibilities assigned by the State Council, the CNCA issued a compulsory product certification system on December 3, 2001. Since May 1, 2002, the first batch of certification applications for 132 products in 19 categories and listed in the compulsory product certification catalogue has been accepted.
On May 1, 2002, the certification of these products will start to implement law enforcement supervision (now postponed to August 1).
