ETL certification
What is ETL certification
ETL is the abbreviation of ETL Testing Laboratories Inc. It was founded by Thomas Edison in 1896 and is an NRTL (Nationally Recognized Laboratory) accredited by OSHA (Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration). After more than 100 years, the ETL mark has been widely recognized and accepted by major retailers in North America, and enjoys a high reputation like UL. ETL inspection mark Any electrical, mechanical or electromechanical product with an ETL inspection mark indicates that it has been tested and complies with relevant industry standards.
ETL certification mark
ETL certified product type
Electrical, mechanical or electromechanical products
As long as any electrical, mechanical or electromechanical product carries the ETL mark, it indicates that the product has reached the minimum requirements of the generally recognized product safety standards in the United States and Canada, and it has been tested to meet the relevant product safety standards. ETL also requires that its production site has been inspected, and the applicant agrees to conduct regular follow-up inspections to its factory thereafter to ensure that the product always meets this requirement.
