Overview

MEID Mobile Equipment Identifier (Mobile Equipment Identifier) is the identification code of a CDMA mobile phone, and it is also a unique identification code for each CDMA mobile phone or communication tablet. Through this identification code, the network can track and supervise the mobile phone. Used in CDMA mobile phones. The number range of MEID is hexadecimal, similar to the format of IMEI.


The MEID number is allocated and managed by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA).

Application for MEID requires payment. The price is that the official (TIA) charge for each MEID in the 1M range is US$8,000, and an additional fee of US$8,000 is required for each additional MEID number in the 1M range.


There is no universal method for checking the MEID number, which is set by each mobile phone manufacturer. You can get the method to check the MEID number by checking the mobile phone manual.


The MEID is identified by 14 hexadecimal characters, and the 15th digit is the check digit, which does not participate in air transmission.
