RCM

1. Introduction to Australia RCM Certification

RCM (Regulatory Compliance Mark) is a registration mark that indicates that the supplier declares that the product complies with the safety and other requirements of the electrical safety laws/regulations of Australia and New Zealand, and also complies with the Australian Radio Communication Act and the New Zealand Radio Communication Act 》Specified electromagnetic compatibility requirements. Only products that meet the requirements of electrical safety regulations and EMC regulations can use the RCM mark.

The owner of the RCM mark is the federal government, and both the electrical safety regulatory agency and the EMC regulatory agency accept the RCM mark as a supplier's declaration of conformity. As long as the supplier is approved to use the RCM mark in any state, the statutory management agencies of other states can accept it, thus realizing one-time approval for each state.

Suppliers need to apply and register before using the RCM logo. Once registered, the supplier can use the RCM mark on all products that meet the requirements of applicable laws and regulations. If it is found that the product using the RCM logo does not meet the requirements of the laws/regulations used, the supplier will impose penalties in accordance with the Australian trademark law.

2. Australia RCM certification service scope:

Australia divides the risk of electrical products into three levels: Level 1 low-risk category; Level 2 medium-risk category; Level 3 is high-risk category, there is a list, there are a total of 56 products.

Level 1 certification requirements: refers to DC power supply products (provide EMC report and directly apply for RCM certification) (ie C-TICK).

Level 2 certification requirements: generally refers to AC power supply products (provide EMC report + safety report to apply for RCM certification) (ie C-TICK).

Level 3 certification requirements: refer to the following list (provide EMC report + safety report + SAA certificate) to apply for RCM certification + EESS registration.

As long as it is an electrical product, the voltage range is between AC 50V~~1000V; DC 120V~1500V, all must meet the requirements of the Australian Electrical Safety Law.

Starting from March 1, 2013, products must be registered in the Australian national database EESS and printed with the RCM logo before they can be sold on the market.

Starting from January 1, 2016, the three-year transition period ends, and the RCM logo will be fully enforced. Products that have not been registered and affixed the RCM logo will not be allowed to be sold in the market.

Prior to this, because the authenticity of the certificate could not be verified online, the market was chaotic. The government established the EESS national database to regulate the market. Once a product is successfully registered for EESS, buyers from all over the world can find product-related information on the official website of the government, which will attract more Australian buyers and help you successfully develop international markets such as Australia and New Zealand.

3. Australia RCM certification process:
